Supported Internship SEND Manager

We have an exciting opportunity here at Barking and Dagenham College for a passionate and enthusiastic Supported Internship SEND Manager to join our team for a maternity cover contract, who is committed to bridging the gap between unemployment and learners with SEND.

You will join us on a full-time, fixed-term basis up to April 2027, and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £46,307 to £50,306 pa inclusive of London Weighting.

This role is ideal for someone who believes in breaking down barriers, championing inclusion, and empowering young people and adults to reach their full potential. You will lead on developing meaningful employer partnerships and delivering high-quality, person-centred pathways into sustainable employment.

Key Responsibilities of our Supported Internship SEND Manager:

• Managing employers sites and maintaining strong employer relationships. 
• Monitoring job coaches to ensure that delivery is always at high quality.
• Knowledge and experience in employment pathways. 
• Experience with young people with SEND specifically working at E3/L1.
• Experience in planning and delivering workplace projects.
• Oversee and be present for key student milestones, i.e. Employment Planning Meetings and graduations. 

Our ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Level 4 qualification or above (E)
• Level 2/3 Learning Support Qualification  (E)
• Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) (D)
• Level 2 in English & Maths (E)
• Evidence of relevant industrial experience & successful management of Supported Internship provision  (E)
• Experience of supporting learners within an educational environment. (E)
